a post-graduate psychology qualification.
The following criteria apply for Principal Membership:
a) A minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Psychologist
who is able to operate professionally without supervision
b) An approved first degree of which psychology was a major
component and a post-graduate qualification in psychology which
is relevant to their work as a Business Psychologist. (As a

concerned with the application of psychology to people.)
2. Member
Applicants must be practising as a Business Psychologist as
demonstrated by qualification and experience. They should
possess an approved first degree of which psychology was a major
component.
3. Member (Business)
As with all our members, these individuals need to demonstrate
up to date knowledge of the application of psychology in
business.
a) Can demonstrate 5 years experience in a role where the
application of principles of psychology made an important
contribution to their work.
b) Show the intention to continue to study psychology as part of
their CPD.
c) Holds a degree or equivalent.
The Management Board reserves the right to follow up on the work
examples, with the member's consent, should this be required.
4. Affiliate
Available to those who do not meet the membership criteria
above, but who nevertheless have a demonstrable, active interest
in Business Psychology. Most of them will be graduates.
Affiliates enjoy the same access to publications, services and
events as other members, but this category of membership confers
no accreditation even though this may be available to other
categories of membership.
Please note:
The above exist as basic guidelines, and membership levels on
application can not be guaranteed. For further information
